Officials at the Department of Social Services have been directed to
draft a new Management Agreement for the Elizabeth Estates Children’s
Home that will include standardized professional standards/codes of
conduct based on both the Child Protection, and the Residential Care
Acts.
The new Agreement is expected to be duplicated across the
board at all of the Homes the Department has oversight for, or to which
the Government provides subventions through the ministry, and will
provide standardization “across the board” on areas ranging from
Admissions, to Exit Strategies for residents once they turn 18 years of
age…
