It was not the usual Thursday or Sunday distribution, instead it was on a
Monday and Wednesday when volunteers from the Bahamas Feeding Network
(BFN) loaded up their vans and transported piping hot meals to the
Ranfurly Homes for Children and the Fox Hill Community Center
respectively. They were answering the call to assist persons evacuated
from Abaco and Grand Bahama because of Hurricane Dorian’s devastating
impact of the northern islands.

“When we got word that children
from the Grand Bahama Children’s Home were being welcomed at the
Ranfurly Homes for Children in Nassau, we immediately made contact with
them to determine what their needs were and how the Bahamas Feeding
