Today, we highlight the various outposts which have been manned by
members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force since its existence.
As the organization celebrates 40 years of service to the country, the
force has been mandated to guarding and protecting over 7,000 square
feet of territorial waters, exclusive economic zones, and archipelago
baselines and a purported 2,222 islands, cays and rocks. To achieve this
task, the men and women have been decentralized throughout the country.
The RBDF has the responsibility of manning various outposts throughout these Bahama Islands from as back as 1980…
