“Hurricane Dorian battered the north-western Bahamas inclusive of
Abaco, Grand Bahama and the surrounding cays for approximately 68 hours
with the eye-wall remaining over Grand Bahama for almost 30 hours. In
total, approximately 68,592 persons experienced this unfortunate act of
nature. In the aftermath of the storm there has been major damages to
critical infrastructures such as airports, clinics, hospitals, shelters,
roads, and bridges.

Even more devastating has been the loss and/or destruction of
personal property and lives. The storm has truly made history in weather
related phenomenon, but also on the lives of every Bahamian…”
